National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London

The aim of the NIHR BRC at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London is to enable our pipeline of excellent basic biomedical research to deliver real change in the management of patients. With funding awarded over five years from April 2017, our BRC has developed clear strategies to diversify training opportunities, increase research capacity and extend user involvement in research. A new Faculty of Translational Medicine has been established within the Centre to develop our Research &Development (R&D) capacity through the training of scientists, clinicians and allied healthcare professionals. The CRUK KHP Centre is also supported by the NIHR CRF at Guy’s and St Thomas’ to serve the functions, research and service needs of the Centre.
